Bob Huff, author of "Tracks Along the Trail" and "More Tracks along the Trail," captures his audience with cowboy poetry of the San Juan Mountains

Bill Downey tells a tale of a ride along the Continental Divide
|
Bob Huff and Bill Downey return to Williams Creek Reservoir on Saturday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m., to share their experiences with you through their cowboy poetry.
Both of these horsemen have spent a lot of time in the backcountry of the San Juan National Forest. Huff has served as a Forest Service volunteer for many years, packing equipment and supplies to support work projects and packing trash out of the Wilderness. He rides the range and has worked to develop and maintain trails.
For a summer, Downey worked as a Wilderness ranger, riding, packing and patrolling the Weminuche and San Juan Wildernesses and the Piedra Area.
Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and be prepared for cool weather. From Highway 160, go north on Piedra Road to Williams Creek Road. Turn right and continue to the Teal Boat Ramp at Williams Reservoir.
This special event is sponsored by the Pagosa Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest. For more information, contact Pagosa Ranger District at 970-264-2268. |
