On Sunday, June 21, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hear a sermon on "The Balance in Life,"
presented by the Reverend Ron Hersom, from the First Unitarian Church in Albuquerque.

"As we celebrate the Summer Solstice, we are reminded of balance. And balance is about remembering the sweet stillness and the natural ripening that occurs without action and about how summer's fullness comes in its own sweet time.  As we celebrate the fullness of light in our lives, how can it inform us about the balance in life?"

The Reverend Hersom is a native of Maine and a Unitarian Universalist for 20 years, with a long history of lay leadership in the New England region. In 2007 he completed seminary work at the Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, California, and served as intern at First Unitarian Church in Albuquerque until his recent ordination and appointment as Acting Assistant Minister. His passion for justice work is evident in his "Just Works" journey to New Orleans in 2007 and "Just Journeys" to Kenya this year.

On this Fathers Day, the Childrens's Program will learn about and discuss famous Unitarian Universalists, which will help us celebrate our fathers and father figures in our lives.  For instance, who was William Ellery Channing, and why was he important?

The service begins at 10:30am in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.
