Looking for something for the kids to do this summer? Why not add the Pagosa Springs Xtreme Day Camp as one of your options. Campers are dropped off at the Pagosa Springs Youth Center (formerly the Power House) at 8 am Monday thru Friday.
Programs consist of a balance of sports, (land and water), arts, crafts, dance, reading, journaling, hiking, library and computer time to name a partial list. You can sign up for 2, 3 or 5 days each week.
This camp is a nice balance between summer vacations, other activities or other camps. This gives the kids some fun with qualified supervision with an opportunity to meet other kids their ages. Some campers have signed up with friends as well. There are sibling discounts and you may qualify for some assistance through the Department of Human Services. Whatever your childcare needs for ages 5-13 we can help you out.
Karen Carpenter is the program director and can be reached at 264-5030. Activities change every week and some extra charges may apply. Camp will run through August 14 — so that leaves seven weeks of activities!
Application can be downloaded off the Pagosa Springs Youth Center website. Campers are accepted at the center at the start of camp day. Please have all your forms filled out and checks payable to the Pagosa Springs Youth Center.
For additional information please call the Pagosa Springs Youth Center at 264-5030. |
