Here are some of the upcoming activities for the Fourth:

June 29 - July 5

The Great Northern A'fair Carnival is operating from June 29 thorugh July 5 in the Town Park, from noon until 10pm each day.  Rides, games, carnival cuisine.

Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3

Pagosa Springs Music Boosters present “Meshuggah-Nuns,” at the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium, 7pm. Tickets available now at the Chamber of Commerce, and online at Brown Paper Tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door after 6pm.

July 2-4

Come out to the 60th Annual Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo featuring cowboys and cowgirls from various states competing for prizes and prize money in this sanctioned rodeo series; July 2 at 6 p.m., July 3 at 6 p.m., July 4 at 2 p.m. The specialty act will be a trick rider and the act will perform daily. General admission tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children under 12 and are available in advance at Goodman’s Department Store and will be available at the gate. A limited number of box seats are available and can be purchased by calling 264-5000. For more information contact Lisa at 264-2730.

The Red Ryder Roundup Rodeo Committee has joined the western industry in its efforts to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research — with its Ryder Roundup Rodeo, Tough Enough to Wear Pink® event.  Wear your pink shirt to the Friday rodeo, 6 p.m., to show your support and enjoy other events in support of this initiative.

July 3-5

Park to Park Arts and Crafts Fair, Town Park and Centennial Park.  Artists from around the region show their stuff.  10am until 4pm daily.

Saturday, July 4

The annual Rotary Club Fourth of July Parade, with its theme “America the Beautiful” kicks off at 10am in downtown Pagosa Springs. The parade moves on a route from South 8th Street to 2nd Street on San Juan and Pagosa streets (U.S. 160).

Saturday, July 4

Fireworks at the High School Athletic Field.  9pm.
