On Saturday, June 27 the Archuleta County Republican Women sponsored a community Patriotic Picnic in Town Park from 11:30-2:00pm.
The keynote speaker at the event was Josh Penry, Colorado State Senator, District 7. Penry is the Minority Leader and at age 31 is the youngest member of the state Senate.

Activities included live music & entertainment, free games for kids and food catered by
EDDIE B COOKIN'.
By popular demand, this event was also a follow-up to the April 15 Tax Day Tea Party — and was open to everyone regardless of political party.
