A new book of short stories has just come available, featuring a former Daily Post contributor.

“Time Out On A Roller Coaster” is a collection of 23 light and fun short stories co-authored by Patrick Sipperly of Bayfield, Colorado, and Linda Boulanger of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Pat and Linda went to high school together in Kenai, Alaska, in the 80's, lost touch, but reconnected on Facebook in early 2009.  They discovered a mutual interest in writing.  Pat was a budding screenwriter; Linda had a novel in mind.  The more they communicated, the more they saw complimentary styles in their writing.

They began to participate in the weekly writing challenges offered on FaithWriters.com, an online hub for Christian writers, where many of their works have received top placement.  After more discussions, they collected some of these short stories, added in some others, collaborated on a few more, and decided to self-publish their collection through Create Space, a subsidiary of Amazon.com.  Linda formatted the book, Pat did the cover design, and the rest is well...just the beginning!

They set up a website as well, to help market their current — and future — books.

This is the first, hold-in-your-hand published book either author has done.  However, both have been published online.  Pat began his public writing with the Pagosa Daily Post with news bits, short stories — and letters to the editor.  (Use our SEARCH function at the top of the page and type in "sipperly" for a few examples.)

Pat owns and operates DurangoVideo.com and MyBayfield.com where one can find more of his short stories and videos.

Linda has developed a community website to help other authors along the self-publishing route.
