On Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, the Brian Flynn Allstars will be appearing at the Bear Creek Saloon in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

The Allstars lineup will be Brian Flynn himself, Blackfoot's Jay Johnson of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Grammy award-winner Jose Rossy, John June of Tucson, AZ, Joey Cordova of Taos, NM and Pagosa Springs' own DC Duncan. The members of the band feature current and former members of the Southern Rock Allstars, the Talking Heads, Blackfoot, Santana, Sammy Hagar, Robert Palmer, Patti LaBelle and the Rossington band, among others.

Brian, hailing from Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, has spent several years as the musical director at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo Cantina. Most recently he's started a recording project in famed Muscle Shoals Sound Studios with Jay Johnson and Mike Estes of Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Jose Rossy, Grammy-winning percussionist with Patti LaBelle, has also appeared and recorded with Carlos Santana, Robert Palmer and the Talking Heads. A virtuoso percussionist most often associated with the jazz-fusion, world-music sounds he produced with supergroup Weather Report in the early ’80s, José Rossy has amassed a body of work that defies “genre-lization.” From symphony orchestras and philharmonics to Talking Heads and Sesame Street, Rossy’s colorful handprint can be found on some of the most creative musical collaborations across a full spectrum of styles over the past 30 years.

Jay Johnson began his professional music career at Alabama ’s Muscle Shoals Sound Studio as a session guitarist. Since that time Johnson has evolved into a broad spectrum musician, songwriter, producer and audio engineer. He has been a member of such musical icons as Blackfoot, the Southern Rock Allstars, Rossington Band and Molly Hatchet.

DC Duncan, hailing from Dallas, Texas, has worked in professional studios starting in 1974. His eclectic and colorful style has shared stage with Anson Funderburgh, Bo Diddley, Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Edgar Winters, Sonny Landreth, Cheech & Chong, Elvin Bishop, Ronnie Milsap, Savoy Brown, BTO, Arlo Guthrie, among many others. He's currently residing in Aspen Springs as the "Poet-Laureate of Archuleta County" with his lovely wife Jaye.

There will be a five dollar cover charge for both evenings, with Saturday's Halloween celebration offering a costume contest. First prize for the contest will be a $100 cash prize and a $100 gift certificate to the Bear Creek Saloon. Second prize is $50 cash and $50 gift certificate. Third prize will be $25/$25 certificate. There will be numerous drink and dinner specials on both Friday and Saturday, and the band will be available for a "meet and greet" both evenings, prior to the show.  show time is 9pm both evenings.

C'mon down for a wicked good time! For additional information, call the Bear Creek Saloon at 264-5611.
