Having a new baby is a wondrous, and joyful experience! It can also be a scary, frustrating and lonely time.
There are times that our identity seems to be only as a caretaker of others and our reaction to that loss of who we once were can be confusing. The baby seems to be demanding and you don’t know what he wants. Finances, relationships, life is stressful — and watching TV just makes you more depressed?
Studies have shown that mothers with a good self image, the ability to meet her own needs and the understanding of the importance of nurturing will enjoy their infants and be able to model empathy and nurturing to her children. It is also known that these moms will have better communication and boundaries with the others in her life helping to create a peaceful, loving home.
Join the Nurturing Parenting Mom’s group and let us Nurture each other. The Nurturing Parenting Program is an internationally known, evidence based program that has proven to strengthen families through the sharing of tools and insights to promote a healthy non-violent home. We gain knowledge, support each other and laugh alot. Child care is provided with a nurturing activity for the family to share together along with a meal!
