Parade Still Looking for Participants
Mary Jo Coulehan | 3/10/10
There's only a short time left to gather the 25 necessary entries to have a Pagosa St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Without 25 entries by Monday, March 15, we will not have our annual March 17 Irish tribute.

Entry forms for the parade are at the Pagosa Chamber where you can pick one up or we can fax you a form.

The parade this year will be held at 4:30pm to better accommodate the children getting out of school and our Spring Break visitors coming down off the mountain.

This parade is a great way to celebrate a little bit of the green while promoting your business or organization.  Cash awards will be given to the Best Overall Entry, the Greenest Entry, and the Most Bizarre Entry.

The parade will take its usual route from 6th St. to 2nd St. down Hwy 160.  Similar to the 4th of July Parade, while goodies may be handed out to spectators, throwing of items is prohibited.

For more information about the parade, call the Chamber at 264-2360.
