According to the Colorado Department of Education, 26 percent of Archuleta County youth do not graduate from high school. The ACEC adult education program focuses on the math, reading and writing skills required for the GED high school equivalent diploma.
To prepare Pagosa’s youth and adults for the high tech jobs of the future, the ACEC works closely with the Town, the County and the Archuleta Economic Development Association (AEDA).
To learn more about these programs, you are invited to attend the 9th annual luncheon of the Archuleta County Education Center, which will be held on Tuesday April 13 starting at 11:45am.
This luncheon, which will be held at the Center Point Church on U.S. 160, will also be a great opportunity to discuss your needs for skilled employees with ACEC staff.
Tickets are available for a $50 donation. For more information, call the ACEC at 264-2835. |
