The 5th Annual Western Heritage Ranch Rodeo was held on Saturday, August 7th at the Western Heritage Event Center in Pagosa Springs during the Archuleta County Fair. Congratulations to the Grand Champions, the Groundhog Bunch consisting of Darin Goodall, Frank Green, Rick Kirks, and Steve Wallace from Dolores, CO for taking First place in this years’ event. Second place went to the Shahan Ranch consisting of Twyne Regester, Raymond Shahan, Justin Shahan, Randy Baxtrom, and Duwayne Shahan from Pagosa Springs. Third place went to the Rico Bunch consisting of Zane Odell, Bronco Odell, Jeramiha Karsten, and Wyatt Wallace from Cortez, CO. Special awards went to Raymond Shahan from Shahan Ranch for Top Hand and to Cash Carruth from E Crutch/Twin Peaks in Blanco, NM for his horse, Kansas, being named Top Horse. Continued...
