Tomorrow, Saturday August 21 is Dr. Ed Jackson's birthday and he is celebrating by having a Community Holistic Lifestyle Conference at Lightner Creek Inn, this event is open to the community.
There will be Pow Wow dancers & Native American Singers and Drummers, Story Telling, community Tai Chi, and a sustainable zero waste Buffalo feast- every one has to bring their own cup, bowl, spoon etc from home....better for Mother Earth.
Children and elders eat for free!!
This free Community event will be an entire day of sacred ceremonies and teachings, live music, delicious food and healthy lifestyle practice. Students of First Nations College will have a clinic tent set up offering body work and energy balancing. Please help us celebrate a great community leader by participating in an event that is good for us, our beautiful community and our precious Mother Earth!
Events will include Zero Waste Sustainable Buffalo Feast, Intertribal Pow Wow demonstration & Aztec dancing, Tai Chi with Professor Joe Salomone, Native American Story Telling with Melanie Seibel, and Traditional Native America Sacred Hoop Teaching and Ceremony with Respected Elder Clark Inkanish.
The Lightner Creek Inn is located at 999 Lightner Creek Road in Durango.
