A showcase of working art spaces throughout the community will be represented at Open Doors - The Taster Exhibition for Durango Open Studios during the month of September at the Durango Arts Center. And opening reception will be held Friday, September 10, 5–7 p.m., 802 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.
We recommend that visitors come to Open Doors where they can pick up a map for the Durango Open Studios and decide which artists/studios they will visit during the weekend of the Durango Open Studios tour, September 18 and 19. This year forty-one local artists will open the doors to the 27 spaces where they create their art. It may be impossible to visit all of the studios in one weekend, so don't miss out on the taster where examples of work from all 41 artists will be represented. This activity is supported by funding from the Colorado Council on the Arts, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal Agency.
