Upcoming Events at Pope John Paul II
Roxanne Schick | 1/17/12
Pope John Paul II Catholic Church is pleased to announce two upcoming events for the spiritual community.

Mass for the Unborn
We will be celebrating a special Mass in remembrance of Roe vs Wade on Monday, January 23.

This will be a Mass for the Unborn and before Mass we will be showing “Changing Sides, The Abby Johnson Story.” Abby Johnson was a former Planned Parenthood director and is now a pro-life advocate.

The video begins at 5:15 p.m. and lasts 45 minutes. Following the video, Dan Anguis, director of Life Guard in Durango, will speak and Mass begins at 6:30 p.m.

It has been 39 years since abortion was given legal status by the Supreme Court.

Charismatic Healing Mass
On Friday evening, January 20, at 7:00 p.m. at IHM Church, we will have a bi-lingual Charismatic Healing Mass with Father Don Malin as presider. Music will be provided by Jeremiah 29, a Catholic Charismatic Worship leading team.

A Charismatic Mass is a Mass in which the spiritual gifts of First Corinthians 12 may be present, such as healing, the gift of tongues and prophecy. Many people have been given the gift of miraculous healing while celebrating the Eucharist in conjunction with healing prayer. The Mass on January 20 is an opportunity to experience such healings. Come and see what God has in store for you!

Father Don is the Bishop’s liaison for the Colorado Catholic Charismatic Renewal and travels throughout the state making presentations to prayer groups in Spanish and English. He celebrates healing Masses and speaks at Charismatic Conferences throughout Colorado. Many healings have been reported to have occurred at these Masses and later verified by doctors.
