On Sunday, January 22, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship program will be "The Audubon Presentation on Global Warming," presented by Dorothy (Dottie) George. She will discuss and document many of the dangers involved in uncontrolled climate change.
Ms. George is a graduate of the University of California at Irvine where she majored in history. She received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Redlands and taught for 34 years in Capistrano Unified School District in Orange County, California.
Dottie was the director of "Project Earth", an environmental education program for elementary students. Since moving to Pagosa Springs, she has worked part-time as an employee of Audubon Colorado in the Four Mile Ranch Environmental Education Program. She also volunteers as a board member for our local Audubon Chapter, the Weminuche Audubon Society.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.
