UU Congregation Considers 'Corporate Control of Elections'
Special to the Post | 1/25/12
On Sunday, January 29, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist service topic will be "The Struggle to Limit Corporate Power," presented by Pauline Benetti.

Candidate Mitt  Romney said that 'Corporations are people,' with no  apparent understanding that democracy is the collective consciences of its citizens," notes Ms. Benetti.  "We will survey the landscape involving the struggle against Corporate Personhood and be reminded why this struggle is quintessentially a UU struggle."

Pauline, who is president of the UU Steering Committee, was just voted Volunteer of the Year by the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for 2012.  She is also involved with many civic and charitable organizations, as well as with raising llamas and alpacas.

The service begins at 10:30am in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall and child care will be provided.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn East on Greenbriar Drive off North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.

All are welcome!
