'Snowman Stomp' Set for February

Pagosa – it is time to save the date!  In just a couple of weeks the Snowman Stomp Snowshoe Romp will take place at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club. 

For fast snowshoers, slow snowshoers, kids and families — this is one of the many activities over the Winterfest weekend in Pagosa Springs.

Now, dust off your snowshoes and grab a hat.  The kids race begins at 12 noon and is followed by the adult race (families welcome) at 12:15pm.  The adult race is a 1.5-mile snowshoe loop that begins and ends at The Pines Restaurant. 

The restaurant is the host site for this activity and will be open for pre and post-race lunch and snacks.  Please support their support of the Snowman Stomp!
 
Register before or day of.  Cost is $5 per person.  Pre-register by February 17 at this website —  or at the Chamber of Commerce — to be guaranteed a goodie bag.  Race day registration available beginning at 10:30am. 

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd race finishers.
 
If you don’t have snowshoes, don’t worry.  Summit Ski & Sports (970.264.2457) and Alpenhaus Ski Center (970.731.SKIS) are both offering $10 shoe rental on the day of the race.
