Thank you, Lyn Dryburgh, for your recent letter to the Daily Post. Since the Walmart address was published I have been writing letters to them saying, "HURRY UP! Pagosa Springs needs you NOW!"
I do have one dislike, however... I do not like the location they have chosen. So many property owners in that area with homes they love, are now concerned that their neighborhood will be over-run with traffic, noise and lighting. With so many other possibilities on both sides of town, where no homes are involved, and no one to bother... why did they choose the present parcel of land?
That is my only question and complaint.
 Let us welcome Walmart , and the competition they will bring. Why are all the small businesses throwing in the towel before they make a plan for their future sales? Tourists do not go to Walmart to purchase gifts for those back home. They buy what the local shops have to offer. Get busy and make your business the one they choose! |
