Come Ski or Snowshoe with the Pagosa Nordic Club... Under the Moon
Special to the Post | 2/20/13

On Friday, February 22nd the Pagosa Nordic Club is hosting a Sunset/Moonrise Soup & Chili X-C Ski Social at the Pagosa Springs Golf Course.

Join us at the Golf Course clubhouse parking lot between 4pm and 7pm and enjoy an easy X-C Ski or Snowshoe under an incredible Sunset and Moonrise. We all meet back at the trailhead afterward to socialize next to a warm campfire with hot cocoa, soup, chili, and smores. This is a great family friendly activity. You may bring something to share, though not expected.

We recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight and dress warm. Please note that the indoor facilities will not be available for this event.

[incolum]The Pagosa Nordic Club is a non profit, 100% volunteer organization with a mission “To enhance winter recreational opportunities in Pagosa Springs by maintaining accessible groomed winter trails for skate skiing, classic cross country skiing & snowshoeing for all ability levels and to encourage and promote the use of these winter trails through education, marketing and events”. The club relies on membership donations, sponsorships and trail use donations to cover operational expenses and capital equipment investments. To become a club member or to donate to the club, please check PagosaNordic.Com for details.

Grab your skis and we will see you at the sunset / moonrise X-C Ski Social.

Don't forget that this weekend also brings the 3rd Annual PAGOSA PAW Dog Sledding & Canine Ski Joring. This event will be fun for all ages. Volunteers are still needed which gives you "up close" spectator action. CLICK HERE for info.
