The Town of Pagosa Springs is looking forward to a busy year of trails construction with additional Town to Pagosa Lakes Trail phases and San Juan River walk trails scheduled for 2013.
The Town of Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County School District will hold a Public Input WorkSession for the preliminary sidewalk and trail designs on Wednesday March 6th at 6:00 pm at the Junior High School Library on Lewis Street. We will discuss the 6th Street Riverwalk Expansion and Pedestrian Bridge as well as the 8th Street sidewalk extension and a non-motorized pedestrian trail between 8th Street and the Pagosa Springs Elementary School.

This open public meeting will initiate discussions, receive public input and present preliminary design plans for several of our upcoming projects. The 8th Street Trail will provide a safe pedestrian route from the 8th Street sidewalk system up along Highway 160 for people desiring to walk from downtown to the Elementary School. In addition, this key phase of the future Town to PagosaLakes trail system will provide for a future pedestrian connection to uptown and the PagosaLakes trial system.
Additional Public meetings will be scheduled as soon as preliminary work is completed for additional trail phases. Public input is encouraged and welcomed.
