Camille Bilazzo, photographed for the Hot Tots Cool Kids contest.
The 2007 Hot Tots Cool Kids Portrait Contest and Fund Raiser coordinated by Photographic Art by Art Franz came to an end this month and raised over $700 for the Treasure Mountain Children’s Garden, a Waldorf-based children's center in pagosa Springs.
After the portraits were taken at Photographic Art, parents picked which pose they wanted to enter into the local and national contests. The community of Pagosa Springs then voted for their favorite portrait, where each vote cost 25 cents. The child whose portrait received the most votes is the first one to draw for the many various prizes donated by local businesses.
There were 31 children entered into the local contest fund raiser ranging in ages from 2 months to 12 years. The top three fund raising portraits were of Camille Bilazzo, Monique Young and Soloman Gabel. All of the portraits now go to the national contest where they will be judged on portrait quality and style, cuteness and expression.
