Be one of the first to experience Canaan, the moving and honest new play by Damon Falke at STRT’s Winter Gala ’08 on March 7. Continued...
Square Top Repertory Theatre seeks to explore the connection between individuals, community, and faith. Our mission is to foster ongoing artistic collaboration that promotes ensemble productions and to create new and enduring work. We explore the transcendent qualities of life and respond to the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs of people of all ages. To this end, Producer/Co-Artistic Director Charles M Pepiton spent much of this fall working alongside Mr. Falke, an accomplished author and poet from southeast Texas, to develop the new script. Canaan will be performed as a staged reading on March 7th and will be fully produced during the 2009 summer season. Last summer, the company produced the world premier of Resident Playwright Shane Fuller’s new play $100 Gummi Bears, and STRT’s commitment to creating new work extends into the summer ‘08 season as well with a new adaptation of Don Quixote, also by Fuller.
