On Tuesday, March 25, the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce will host Dave Tabor, Vice President of the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry at a breakfast and informal talk. Dave will speak about some of the business issues that you may not be aware of affecting rural communities.
One item that is a hot topic is the health care issue and the increasing cost of insurance. In 2007, a new law went into effect where smaller businesses that had a low incident rate were able to acquire insurance discounts. Starting this fall, they will not have the opportunity to do so any more. Find out the details. Dave will also talk about the business climate in the state, inform us about CACI's free grassroots program, expound on some regional issues and be on hand to answer any of your questions.
The breakfast will take place on Tuesday, March 25 beginning at 8 a.m. at the River Point Café downtown behind Jim Smith Realty. To give us an idea of how many people would be on hand, please give the Chamber a call at 264-2360 if you are interested in attending; however walk-ins are always welcome. We look forward to hearing what is happening at the state level and seeing how it affects us here in Pagosa. |
