On Sunday, May 4, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service will consider The Wheel of Sacrifice, presented by the Reverend George Harris. He points out that we are all still living our lives by old fear thoughts of constantly giving to others, sacrificing ourselves for some outcome, and blocking our receiving of the love that we need for ourselves. He adds that “The energy is now available in the universe for us to let go of these old patterns of being and it is time to move into our own self-mastery.”
Rev. Harris is a Minister of Metaphysics, recently ordained Minister of Spiritual Peacemaking, and newly installed Minister of the Four Corners Center of Spiritual Living in Bayfield. He is also the owner and facilitator of The Family Living System in Albuquerque and is a master teacher of proven relationship and communication tools to help everyone learn to be whom they desire to be in their lives.
The children’s program will ponder the question, “What is the relationship between people and nature?” We’ll hear two different creation stories and consider the 7th UU principle of promoting the “interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part.” The Bloomers program will continue exploring the tools of our faith using our toolbox this month.
The service begins at 10:30am in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbrier Drive off of North Pagosa by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome. |
