Today, Friday, June 27 is the last chance for girls ages 9 and 10 to register for a summer "drills and skills" softball program.
Cost to participate is $25 per player; registrations are available at the recreation office in Town Hall and can be downloaded online through the recreation department link at the Town website.

Instructional clinics will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm-7 p.m. beginning June 30 at the high school sports complex, Field 3. There will also be a couple of scrimmages, including one on the road in Bayfield. The program will end in late July.

Registration for the second summer session of youth tennis will run through Friday, June 27.The session will run from July 1-July 26.

All youngsters who were registered for the first session of youth tennis (except for ages 5-7) will participate in the second session and do not have to re-register.  Registrations are available at the recreation office in Town Hall and are also available for download through the recreation department link at the Town website.  All registrations must be submitted to the recreation office.

This year's program includes three age brackets: 5-7, 8-10 and 11-13. The number of participants in each age bracket will be capped at 12 per session in order to offer as much individual instruction as possible.

Participants must have a tennis racquet and non-marking, smooth-soled athletic or tennis shoes. Running shoes are not permitted. For information on purchasing equipment or adult tennis programming and instruction, contact Schwicker at 903-3119.

Contact Andy Rice, recreation supervisor, at 264-4151 Ext. 231 for more information on this year's youth tennis program.
