Local art teachers Denny Rose and Ginnie Bartlett are offering an upcoming drawing class at the Community Center, as part of the Pagosa Springs Arts Council's ongoing workshop series.  Their press release calls the class, "Perspective Drawing Workshop" and notes: "No painting in this workshop! "

"These classes prepare those who want to work in any medium, creating drawings and paintings that include realistic-looking objects. Buildings and other man-made structures are emphasized, but roads, rivers, fields of crops, fences, people and pottery are among the things included."

"Learn how to make drawings that will help your flat art look three dimensional. The demos and exercises include both aerial perspective and linear perspective: 1-point, 2-point, 3-point and multiple-points as well as proportion and shadows."

"This workshop is open to and aimed at any adult who is — or hopes someday to be — an artist. There are very few supplies. Call the Arts Council at 264-5020 to register and obtain the list."
