Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced on Friday January 10 that 102 miles of the Upper Arkansas River in central Colorado have been designated as 'Gold Medal' fishing habitat.  The 20-year effort to convert the Arkansas from a neglected, dying river polluted by decades of mining waste — into one of the finest fishing destinations in the U.S. was supported by groups like Trout Unlimited and by various state and federal agencies.  Read more in today's Daily Post article.  Photo courtesy of Trout Unlimited.
