The Springs Resort is adding five new "naturally therapeutic mineral pools" to its riverside spa, and in the process has dug up tons of travertine — the porous mineral deposited over the centuries around the Great Pagosa Hot Springs.  The pile sits on the approximate location of a proposed new Springs Resort hotel, still in the planning stages.
